Terms of Use

The rules of our gym, in plain words.

These terms are an agreement between you and Nikolaos Georgousis (self-employed), Kleanthous 8, 54642 Thessaloniki, Greece ("we", "us"), the maker of the BeastLift app ("the app"). By using the app you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who can use BeastLift

You must be 16 or older. If the law where you live requires a parent's or guardian's consent at your age, you need it.

2. Your account

You can use BeastLift without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google to back up your data, keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete account.

3. Health and safety

BeastLift gives general fitness and nutrition guidance. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Calorie targets, meal plans, workout plans and estimates (such as calories burned) are approximate and made for healthy adults.

  • Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise or diet programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a health condition or injury, take medication, or have had an eating disorder.
  • Stop exercising and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
  • Use equipment safely, warm up, and train within your limits. You take part in any activity at your own risk.

4. BeastLift Pro (subscriptions)

  • BeastLift is free to use with ads. BeastLift Pro is an optional subscription that adds features (such as Nutrition, unlimited made-for-you workouts and Pro looks) and removes ads.
  • Prices, the billing period and any free trial are shown before you buy. Payment is taken by Apple or Google through your store account.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
  • We may change prices or features of Pro; a price change applies from your next renewal and the store will tell you in advance where required.

5. Ads

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. See the Privacy Policy for how ads and consent work.

6. Your content

Your entries (workouts, notes, names, logs) remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the app for you (for example, to sync them to your devices). Don't put anything unlawful or offensive into the app's free-text fields.

7. Our content and licences

The app, its design, the beast characters, their art and animations, the sounds and the BeastLift name and logo belong to us. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, sell, reverse engineer or misuse it, except where the law allows.

Some content comes from others and stays under its own licence, credited in Settings > Credits:

  • Recipes: adapted from UniTools World Recipes, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Our adapted recipe file is available under the same licence at https://beastlift.me/recipes.json.
  • Food and recipe photos: Wikimedia Commons contributors, each under the licence shown in the app (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA).
  • Food values: USDA FoodData Central (public domain).
  • Packaged foods: Open Food Facts, data under the Open Database License (ODbL) and photos under CC BY-SA.
  • Exercise names and details: the Free Exercise DB (public domain).
  • Training photos: Unsplash, under the Unsplash License.
  • Open-source software, listed in Settings > Credits > Open source.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep BeastLift running well but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change or stop features. Data you keep only on your device can be lost if the device is lost or the app is deleted, so we recommend an account backup.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms. Sections 3, 7, 9 and 11 continue after the end.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there.

12. Apple App Store

If you got the app from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to maintain or support the app; Apple is not responsible for any claims about the app (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property), which are ours to handle; if the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of its price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation; you confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo or on a US restricted list; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
